Amy’s Smokehouse Deli was officially founded in 2025, but its roots run far deeper. This family-run venture is the passion project of Amy and Gareth Young, supported in spirit by their two young sons, Aston and Slade.

With over 15 years of experience as a professional chef, Gareth has cooked in top restaurants across South Africa and abroad, most recently at one of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious golf clubs.

Drawn back by the warmth and beauty of South Africa—and driven by a shared dream to create something of their own—the Young family returned home to bring their vision to life: a local deli infused with the international flavours they’ve discovered on their travels. Amy, the heart of daily operations and logistics, is the warm, familiar face behind every order.
